Nantwich

The area of Crewe and Nantwich is a haven for small boutique shops where nearby the Potteries shopping centre caters for all tastes and has all your favourite high street shops and is open 7 days a week.

For those looking for designer bargains there is the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet at Cheshire Oaks. Ellesmere Port is McArthurGlen's flagship - and the UK's largest - designer outlet which and opened in 1995. With more than 140 shops offering discounts of up to 50 per cent it a shopper's heaven.

Nantwich road in Crewe is having a bit of a renaissancethere's a variety of women's boutiques including Twice as Nice which specialises in clothes for the larger lady. It also boasts a number of restaurants and a recently opened Spanish Tapas bar.

Nantwich town centre has a number of bespoke boutiques in Pillory Street and Hospital Street. Cocoa Yard has a brilliant card shop and a healthy sandwich bar its also home to the towns millennium sculpture. Combined with the usual high street branches of shops such as Boots and WH Smiths, there are a number of places to have a bit to eat in Nantwich including the famous Chatwins bakery who's main site is just behind St Mary's Church.

Another good place to visit is A.T. Welches the olde worlde grocers. A display of collected goods for the past have turned into the Yesteryear Shoppe which takes you back in time when pre-packaged food was not invented and drawers contain loose spices you can also view the ration books from the Second World War. You can enjoy all this whilst sitting in the coffee shop that has now been added!
